Detailed Itinerary

  1. Day 1 Arrive Leh

    Leh Ladakh

    You arrive at Leh airport, step into the receiving area where you will be met by our representative and drive to hotel.

    On arrival check-in to the hotel.

    Being the capital of Ladakh, is one of most beautiful and fascinating tourist destination The region is blessed with beautiful landscapes, sky-kissing monuments, tranquil lakes and evergreen forests which cast a magical scenic beauty. Apart from that, a Leh tour offers the tourists plenty of recreational and adventurous activities like hiking, trekking, river rafting, polo and archery to get engrossed with. The region is surrounded by the alpine desert and beautiful landscapes. The dry barren landscape of Leh is full of historic Buddhist monasteries which gives it an incredible sight to behold.

    Breakfast at the hotel. Half day at rest for acclimatization.

    After Lunch drive to Visit Shanti Stupa, a Buddhist white-domed stupa (chorten) on a hilltop in Chanspa located just outside the town, to get a better view of the neighbouring exotic locales. The various monasteries which are located in this region also add to the beauty of the region. Then Leh Palace, it overlooks the Himalayan town of Leh, modelled on the Potala Palace in Lhasa. It is a nine multi-storey residence used to be occupied by the royals in the seventh century. The wooden balconies of the Palace truly fill the heart of an individual with pleasure and joy.

    Later in the evening walk around local market.

  2. Day 2 Leh – Alchi - Leh by road (Approx 140 Kms / 4 hours drive)

    Alchi

    After breakfast, drive to Alchi and visit Alchi monastery, a Buddhist monastery, known as monastic complex (chos-'khor) of temples is Ladakh’s most valuable heritage. Alchi monastery is a Buddhist worshipping place and study centre and is managed by the monks of Likir. The monastery was built, according to local tradition, by the great translator Guru Rinchen Zangpo between 958AD and 1055AD. The building is said to have been built during the 11th century and the architecture of the place is also excellent. Thereafter proceed to the Likir Monastrey. The Likir Monastery or gompa is one of the oldest and well maintained monasteries in Ladakh district in India’s northernmost state, Jammu and Kashmir. The monastery is located in Likir village is believed to have been in existence since 11th century. The original name of Likir monastery is Klu-kkhyil gompa.

    Visit Gurdwara Pathar Sahib, Gurdwara Pathar Sahib, is a beautiful Gurdwara Sahib constructed in the memory of Guru Nanak, constructed 12000 ft. above sea level. Today the site and the Gurdwara are revered by both the local Lamas and Sikh community.

    Hall of Fame is a proud displayer of Indian Army simultaneously acts as the symbol of those dark days of India’s war against Pakistan. The museum that showcases seized arms and weapons of Pakistan army is located in Ladakh, the paradise of adventure lovers lying in the beautiful Himalayas.

  3. Day 3 Leh – Nubra by road (Approx. 174 kms / 5 hours drive)

    Nubra

    After breakfast, drive to Nubra valley (approx. 5 hrs. drive) driving over the Khardungla Pass, this is the World's highest motor able road at 18832 feet above sea level. At Khardungla pass, the snowcapped peaks and the mountain views are amazing. The road then passes through a bridge laid on Glacier which finds its way in Guinness Book of world records. Drive through the Valley which is extremely beautiful for photography.

    Post lunch, rest of the day free to explore Deskit, Hunder Villages and camel Safari in Sand Dunes between Deskit and Hunder Village.

  4. Day 4 Nubra – Diskit Monastery – Pangong via Shayok by road (Approx. 160 kms / 5.5 hours drive)

    Pangong

    After breakfast, visit Diskit Monastery, it is the largest and the oldest surviving monastery in Nubra Valley. It is perched high up in the Himalayas at an altitude of 10,000+ ft and overlooks the flood plains of Shyok river.

    Continue your drive towards to Pangong Tso via Shayok village. One of the largest high-altitude lakes in the world and the highest salt water lake, the crystal blue waters of the Pangong Tso Lake impeccably reflect the brown mountains around making for a picture perfect postcard. You stay at the campsite for the night, under a star-spangled sky

  5. Day 5 Pangong to Tsomoriri via Tsaga La by road (Approx. 350 kms / 8 hours drive)

    Tso-Moriri

    After an early breakfast you will be drive to Tsomoriri Via Chushul by crossing Tsaga La. Until Chushul you will have an amazing drive along with Pangong lake. After crossing Chushul, the road approaches to a 14500 ft pass Tsaga la with China in your left side and you would find lots of army outposts at your left on top of the mountains. Late afternoon you will be in Tsomoriri. In the evening walk along the Lake and Overnight stay at Camp.

  6. Day 6 Tsomoriri to Leh by road (Approx. 240 kms / 7-8 hours drive)

    Leh Ladakh

    After Breakfast visit Korzok Monastery. At 15000 ft, Korzok Monastery has a unique location as it overlooks Tso Moriri, one of the highest lakes of India. The monastery was founded by Kunga Lodro Ningpo, the third Korzok Rinpoche around 300 years ago.

    Continue drive to Leh via Sumdo and Chuma – Thang (3965M). En route stop at Mahe Bridge from where the road crosses to the south bank of the river by a bridge; it then follows the un metallic road through Sumdo village up to join Puga stream.

  7. Day 7 Leh

    Leh Ladakh

    After a leisurely breakfast, we drive to visit Hemis Monastery. Hemis monastery owns excellent architecture which attracts people around the map. It has the large structure of Guru Rimpoche and three-story high gold idol of Maitreya Buddha. Else there is also a museum that possesses collection of Buddhist structure, statues, several ancient manuscripts and frescoes that reflects the existence of rich culture during the ancient period. It is the biggest monastery in Ladakh. From Hemis, you are driven back taking the same route to visit Thiksey Monastery, located on a hill-lock with formidable views of the Indus valley. Thiksey is especially noteworthy for its gigantic seated statue of the Maitreya and is also known for its (Dukhang) assembly hall which houses hundreds of rectangular prayer books, stacked between wooden covers and bound in silk. After that we continue to drive through series of chortens to visit Shey Palace the former summer palace of the King of Ladakh. 3 Idiots School Campus Sindhu Darshan visit.
