However, this year, the decision to hold this procession has been left with the state government due to the prevailing situation of COVID 19.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\u003Cp class=\u0022text-align-justify\u0022\u003EOnce the chariots reach the Gundicha Temple, the idols are given a holy bath and are then rested in the temple for nearly a week before bringing them back to the Jagannath Temple. People believe these mysteries are actually blessings of Lord Jagannath.
