Thanedar is a village in Himachal Pradesh in India. At 8,000 feet (2,400 m), it is 445 km from Delhi and is about three-hour drive from Shimla.
Its most interesting feature is the case of models showing the construction of temples and forts in and around the Kullu Valley. There are also traditional textiles, musical instruments, dance masks, domestic and artisans' utensils and masks representing devtas (village deities).
