The National Handicrafts Emporium is an arts and handicraft store run by the government, which means fixed pricing (payment cards are also accepted, alongside cash). The assortment of goods ranges from rugs to woven items, traditional clothing, bags, and other pieces.
The Laxmi Vilas Palace in Vadodara, Gujarat, was constructed by the Gaekwad family, a prominent Maratha family, who ruled the Baroda State. Major Charles Mant was credited to be the main architect of the palace.
Located within the premises of the Bharatpur Palace is Kamra Khas, a museum that contains a vast number of antiques, over 581 stone sculptures, 861 local art and craft wares and ancient scriptures that depict the art and culture typical of Bharatpur. The palace itself was built in stages by various Maharajas and is a fine fusion of Mughal and Rajput architecture.
National Institute for Zorig Chusum or as it is commonly called “the painting school” teaches students the 13 tradititonal arts of Bhutan. The institute is a symbol of ancient art of Bhutan which encompasses of paintings, statues, hangings and much more.
There are Dioramas of tribes like Rathwa, Bhil, Nayak, Tadvi, etc. Tribal objects, weapons, ornaments, agriculture tools, clay wares, costumes, wooden images, etc. are on display. There are nearly 861 exhibits in this museum.
